Alabama’s First Hospice. Still Local. Still Non-Profit.
Hospice of Montgomery was the first Hospice in Alabama—in fact, we were among the first in the nation. We are the only independent non-profit 501(c)(3) hospice serving Montgomery, Autauga, Bullock, Butler, Chilton, Crenshaw, Elmore, Lowndes, Macon, Montgomery, and Tallapoosa counties. Founded in 1976 as an all-volunteer agency with funding support from The United Way, we have an unmatched knowledge and understanding of the River Region community and the local support services available to assist you. For nearly four decades, we’ve remained focused on our mission to provide truly uplifting care for thousands of local families, while preparing our staff and developing the cutting-edge capabilities required to meet today’s complex healthcare needs and challenges. Hospice of Montgomery is proud to be an agency of the River Region United Way.
